Hello to all the wonderful people who visit my blog and who read my recipes❤️
I’m Natalie Smilevska, and this is my blog where I share various vegan recipes and specialties 🙂
On my blog you will be able to find many recipes that are Macedonian, because my origin is Macedonian, a country that has a wonderful and authentic cuisine. The decision to open this blog was born spontaneously, wanting to share with the world the recipes I consume every day and to suggest you ideas for your next meal.
I am a huge animal lover, I have been in love with the animal world since I was little and I have grown up with various animals. But the biggest influence on me from all the animals I kept, was my dog Deedee – the French poodle that lived with me and my family for 18 lovely years 🐩 She was my real guardian angel. She made me a much more responsible person, caring and diligent from an early age.
Below, read my story on becoming a vegan 🥦🥑🥕🍎
My path to becoming a vegetarian began in 2009 at Christmas. That night we had prepared various recipes that were dominated by meat. Eating the meat, I felt that its taste seemed strange to me, and I do not like that strange at all (although I have never had such a feeling before).
Although I overeat that night, I went to bed in my room (for my stomach to settle down) and started thinking a lot about meat and animals. I started reading articles on this topic and I was literally amazed by everything I read and the pictures I saw. I have seen all the painful ways animals are treated and how they are cared for, before they become our food. At that moment I could feel their pain and sadness in their eyes, I cried so much that night.
From that day on, I decided that meat would no longer be a part of my life, and I announced this decision to my mother. She told me that even when I was a baby I refused meat, as I grew up I refused meat again and cried every time my mother gave me meat to eat. With this decision, that meat will no longer be part of my menu, my love for animals increased even more and I began to feel a deep gratitude for their existence in this world. Love and respect for them overwhelm both my heart and my soul. As a vegetarian, I feared that I was not getting enough protein in my body, so I consumed a lot of dairy products. Because of that situation, I began to notice problems with my skin, and I often felt bloated and even had abdominal pain. So I decided to experiment and not eat dairy products for a month in order to see, if these health problems disappeared. And that’s what happened. But despite this knowledge, I was a vegetarian for two more years (although I faced these problems).
In 2015, I started researching much more about veganism. I read about the dairy industry, that is, how animals are treated in this production. The situation was the same, in inhumane conditions, separating the babies from their mothers so that they could take the milk from them. At that moment, I decided that I don’t want to support these practices, this business, so I become vegan.
I can only say that from that day until today my life has completely changed. Now my menu is filled with lots of colors, flavors, spices. I feel much healthier and more energetic, I managed to get rid of health problems as well as regulate my weight. I have become much more aware of the food I eat, and I always choose it to be organic and have no added emulsifiers, dyes, preservatives, etc. Naturally, I started using cosmetics that are not tested on animals, not wearing leather in order not to be part of that business, for which I saw a bunch of pictures of animals in laboratories.
And because I wanted to connect with animals on a deeper level, I also completed a course on Telepathic Communication with Animals as well as a Reiki course to heal animal problems, and today I successfully work with animals using these techniques, and also in my treatments I use Theta healing technique for additional results, which I use initially for treatment in humans.
Today I am a Holistic Life Coach, Hypnotherapist, Morphogenetic Field Reading Coach, NLP Practitioner, Womb Healer and in addition to helping people, I also help animals live a happy, relaxed and fulfilling life.
My vegan choice led me to the path of spirituality, made me learn what it means to love yourself, other people, animals, Mother Earth and nature, at every moment to be connected to everything around me and to feel grateful for it.
Now my goal is to help you learn the same because everything starts with expanding our consciousness, in my case it started with diet, so maybe you will find yourself in my story and walk that path, That’s why I want to help you on your vegan path by presenting quick, easy and delicious recipes.
At the same time, I will sometimes share interesting situations about my experience and communication with animals. As for my two cats with whom I share my home today Masha – Persian cat and Lucy – Turkish angora 😻
I hope that my blog will inspire you to eat healthier and plant-based food and that it will help you plan your menu and your next meal.
